Why Don’t College Rankings Measure Student Satisfaction?

LATimes

This is a timely article.  What is the methodology?  A questionnaire that college officials fill out?  It is in the College’s best interest to have a high ranking because then they can of all things get alumni to donate more!  Wow!  Reason enough not to trust College Rankings.

Questions to ask:

  1. What methodology is used?
  2. Where are they getting their data?
  3. Does the ranking have a scientific approach?

FYI- Columbia University was rated highly on one of the best colleges to go if you like surfing, over universities in Hawaii and  California   Wow!  Things that make you go hmmmm……..
